Here I lie beneath the—
Country Club Golf Course,
Beneath the Nineteenth Hole,
After getting rich quick
With Jeff Haw-Haw and
Kenny “Clap Trap” Calhoun,
We had Big Plans for our
Little Hometown Emporia,
Even though the putrid
Auschwitz stench of the
Iowa Beef Plant stunk so
Bad it made poor Emporians
Fucking puke their guts out,
Later Tyson’s wasn’t much
Better but Phil Phlegm and
His Gang couldn't wait to put
All their money in a single
Basket, so that when Tyson
Folded & all the Mexican
Wetbacks & Somali slaves
Left town for good, that’s
When the shit hit the fan,
The Bubble burst, Santa Fe
Went bankrupt and the
New Depression snaked
Its way back to shitty,
Smelly, stinky Cowtown.
