HARASSED HEATHCLIFF-JONES
“And I am the
cargo
Of a coffin
attended by swallows.
And I am the
water
Bearing the
coffin that will not be silent.”
—Ted Hughes

Poor Ted Hughes—
Haunted like Heathcliff
All because of Sylvia's last
Book of poetry "Ariel"
Sylvia haunted him—
On the London busses
She skulked thru his—
Uneasy nightly dreams
_______________
Taking a bath once—
Testing the water
With with his big toe—
BINGO!!! there she was again!
Tweeking poor Heathcliff—
Right there on his ass!!!
Did Stephen Jones feel—
That way about Louisa Jones?
_______________
No wonder Heathcliff—
and Jones were so alike?
Overly sensitive about—
The littlest city things
Getting all upset—
Over giving up his ranch
Crummy Kansas City—
just wasn't his cup of tea
